It's roots go back to 1843 with the establishment of the Nottingham Government School of Design which still exists within the university today.

Teaching Methods
  • NTU’s courses are informed by internationally recognised and award-winning research.
  • Courses typically have a mixture of lectures and seminars timetabled during the week. Lectures introduce new subject areas, and seminars offer an opportunity to discuss the topic in smaller groups.
  • Some courses also have laboratory, workshop or studio time scheduled.
  • Assessment methods vary from course to course and module to module. They can include anything from traditional essays and examinations to coursework, case studies, presentations, oral examinations, practical assessments, and creative portfolios.

      « In my case, it was such a small faculty, everyone knew everyone, it was like a big family and I was really welcome. »
